MANAGER INVESTMENT COMMUNICATIONS

Leading investment management company is looking for dynamic
Manager of Investment Communications. This person will research and analyze current market trends and competitor materials, work closely with the company's investment professionals to understand portfolio strategies and market perspectives, and will translate that understanding into concise and relevant content for print and Web site distribution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leads the development and execution of investment communications for retail and institutional audiences, including annual and semi-annual reports for more than 30 investment portfolios/strategies, quarterly portfolio manager commentaries, investment process narratives, portfolio manager interviews, sales presentations, and other technical publications.

Manages the development of key publications by establishing project schedules, identifying stakeholders and establishing accountabilities, and identifying necessary resources and budget requirements.

Collaborates closely with Channel Marketing, Market Planning, and Sales Teams to ensure communications consistently meet business objectives and client expectations.

Collaborates closely with Portfolio Management Team to ensure communications are well informed, accurate, and consistent with the views and perspectives of our portfolio managers and analysts.

Collaborates closely with the Manager, Marketing Production, and Manager, E-Commerce, to distribute the highest quality communications possible, on time and within budget, in print and online.

QUALIFICATIONS:

At least five to seven years of marketing communications

experience in writing, editorial, and project management.

At least three years experience in a communications role in the investment industry that includes writing and editing economic or investment commentaries, newsletters, presentations, and sales collateral.

Knowledge of mutual fund products, investment strategies and concepts, including applicable SEC and NASD regulatory requirements.

Proven ability to explicate complex, dry, and sometimes technical, financial concepts in a lively, accessible and compelling fashion to audiences with varying degrees of sophistication in understanding the subject matter.

Proven ability to write and edit content in formats/styles optimized for print and for online environments.

Proven ability to write and edit promotional copy, in addition to technical writing, is preferable.

Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects independently and simultaneously, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

NASD Series 6 within six months of hire.

College degree required. Concentration in Marketing, Communications, or Journalism preferred.
