Manager, Market Research

Provide a central point of development, coordination, management and analysis for research, and relate how the results of these efforts drive market positioning, product direction and business strategy.





 

Responsible for creation, execution and management of primary and secondary research projects and all related statistical analysis.

 

Manage the customer satisfaction research program

 

 Manage the collection of data and information from external and internal resources about the healthcare market, customers, prospects and competitors.  Position will have regular interaction with product managers, sales, internal financial analysts, other industry analysts and sources as required by the projects.

 

Analyze, summarize and communicate outcome of research to support business decisions

 

Understand, track and relate customer, market, and competitive trends to their influence/impact on Emdeon?s market positioning, solutions and business strategy

 

Negotiate agreements and manage vendors as needed.

 

Other duties as assignedBachelor's degree (MBA preferred) in Economics, Statistics, Finance, Marketing or related discipline. Minimum of 4 years of experience in research, market/product management, marketing or related functions. Background in the healthcare industry. Demonstrated ability to gather requirements and develop related surveys to be administered via the web, telephone or mailExcellent written and oral communication skills; experience working with senior managers and making presentations to executive level business leaders. Ability to assemble, motivate and lead cross-functional teams effectively with a high energy level. Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once with strong attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and statistical analysis software/tool(s) (e.g. Minitab or SPSS).  Experience with MS Access and SQL is desirable. Effective web searching skills as well as other traditional research techniques.
