Manager Marketing - Channels

Manages a substantial and complex group of channels and regional brands. Responsible for the development and implementation of annual marketing plans including situation assessment, market growth strategy, pricing, promotional programs, product innovation and renovation, packaging, and distribution. Leads implementation of plan, analyzes results, and implements course correction, as necessary, to achieve company objectives. Works closely with Brand marketing, Consumer Insights, Trade Marketing, Sales, and Operations.Plan Implementation and Control (40% time)
Implement marketing elements of annual business plan including pricing, promotions, marketing support programs, new products, packaging (structure and graphics) and distribution expansion
Lead weekly cross-functional steering team for assigned businesses
Monitor progress, analyze causal factors and recommend course corrections to achieve plan
Financial Management (15% time)
Monthly financial statement updates
Opportunity/Risk management
Planning 15% time
Develop strategic and annual plans
Propose strategic direction and priorities including development of strategic and annual plans
Develop strategy for growth including product innovation, distribution expansion, pricing and promotional tactics, and marketing support programs
Market Analysis (10% time)
Analyze shopper behavior and identify implications for the business
Analyze industry/channel trends and implications for the business
Brand Insights & Collaboration (10% time)
Collaborate with Brand Managers on priorities and ensure channel and brand alignment on product, package and promotions
Supply Chain Collaboration (5% time)
Monthly forecasting and direction for inventory management
Management Reporting (5% time)
Weekly update of sales status and key consumer, customer, or competitor highlights
Weekly key project updates
Minimum 5 years experience in food industry Marketing, or related experience
Proficiency with syndicated data (IRI, Nielsen or equivalent) considered a plus
Bachelor's degree; MBA preferred
