Manager, New Release Acquisitions

This position will have dedicated focus & responsibility to drive the performance of new release Acquisition titles across our international markets.

 

In addition, the Manager is responsible for the evaluation of product, communication with internal divisions, collecting & sending out marketing information, providing creative direction for all new release materials, preparing analysis to plan and implement home entertainment release strategies and regular communication with territories.

 

The individual will also manage the legal approvals process for territories proposed activities including promotional information generated either by theatrical or from the territories, gathering and sharing information on their title release strategies and local competitive performance that enable SPHE to track territories plans against budget.

 

Key duties include analyze title strength and opportunities to create a base for building the overall strategies.  Communicate title ranking to internal divisions.  Research all necessary marketing elements of the titles and products.  Collect, analyze and dispatch title / product information: manage elements delivery and legal approval to release titles to the home entertainment markets. Distribute and update product information to the territories.  Drive performance of Acquisition products by collecting and analyzing market information: request, compile, summarize, update territory market information and research, local marketing plans, Movie Viewing Reports and sales history data. Interpretation of collected market information and researches under the guidance of marketing management to create a base for building title release strategies. Planning and execution of Marketing tactics such as promotion, third party tie-ins, special products and packaging, multipacks, etc. including the sharing of programs between international offices, and collection and distribution of materials for seasonal conferences.  Seek approvals for all marketing activities, legal and strategic from SPHE legal group, as well as third party consultation as necessary.

 

Requirements:  3-5 years of marketing experience.  Experience in entertainment or international marketing preferred. Detailed knowledge of entertainment marketing required. Knowledge of home entertainment and/or international marketing, a plus. Demonstrated skills in developing and managing multiple marketing plans and strategies.  Ability to determine, communicate and implement title and category marketing strategies.  Must be able to analyze marketing plans, spends and promotions and follow-up with approvals and/or suggested revisions.  Proven ability to organize and present marketing plan information and summaries.  Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Professional individual who can build strong relationships with all levels of employees.  MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes required.  College degree required.
