Manager, Vascular Access Marketing

This position will manage all aspects of product management for assigned lines and/or markets. Responsible for long and short term strategic planning and development of these markets and the development of necessary research programs. Additionally you will assist in directing the total marketing mix with the objective of maintaining a leadership market position by working with the sales force and customers to meet product, service and support needs. Responsible for maintaining and expanding current markets in assigned product area, thereby constantly improving Smiths Medical competitive position, and developing and presenting pricing strategies and sales forecasts for new and existing products.

Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field along with a minimum of five years professional marketing experience (preferably in the medical device/drug or biomedical area) or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge. A broad knowledge of marketing principles and techniques including market research and advertising is necessary. The ability to develop, implement and maintain marketing strategies and have an in depth knowledge of medical markets and medical device industry is required. Knowledge of finance and accounting business functions is essential along with the ability to determine, set, and maintain budgets. Strong leadership, team work, communication and analytical skills are a must.
