Manager of Circular Production

Manage the advertising production of CVS? weekly circular program. Assign projects to appropriate staff, manage workload and priorities. Monitor daily progress of work to ensure all deadlines are met. Manage the production of materials at the highest quality and accuracy. Work with outside printers to coordinate on-time delivery of finished materials.
Manage the quality control process to ensure that all ads are produced to the highest standards. Develop solutions and processes to enhance workflow efficiencies, eliminate risk of errors. Goal is 100% ad accuracy. Manage the trafficking of all appropriate versions of ads to the respective printers, error free, based on strict production timetables, to ensure on time delivery. Program consists of 19 unique ad versions and 80-90 unique ad zones weekly.
Develop and manage a staff of 16 production associates.


Requirements:


Bachelor Degree in Graphic Arts/Design is preferred
5 to 8 years of related work experience
Requires an individual who is flexible and able to deal with last minute changes.
Ability to react, accomplish goals and lead associates under stressful situations.
Demonstrates the ability to communicate, implement and identify process needs and improvements to production cycles. Reporting, process mapping, workflow reengineering, scheduling and planning are required.
Some understanding of printing, prepress, production and design.
Five years management or supervisory experience.
MacIntosh computer systems experience preferred but not necessary.
Computer Graphics experience preferred but not necessary.
Computer Graphics application experience preferred but not necessary. i.e. Adobe InDesign, QuarkXpress
Previous experience in catalogue or circular production is meaningful.
