Selected individual will recruit new participants and manage program expansion projects for the American Heart Association's Food Certification Program. Key activities encompass formulating and personally executing the annual recruitment plan including lead generation, direct sales/telemarketing and sales promotions as well as creating growth strategies/feasibility studies for expansion into new areas of certification. The annual recruitment plan will target food manufacturers and their agencies to achieve annual product growth goals for the Program. Will also schedule and conduct sales meetings and presentations, maintain a current leads tracking system, produce weekly sales reports and manage project budgets. Other activities will include conducting competitive intelligence as well as industry trend tracking to define appropriate program extensions.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field, a minimum of 5 years successful business development, sales, brand or account management experience and at least 1 year successful business-to-business sales background based on a product?s value. Proven ability to produce successful product and sales strategies/plans based on securing and analyzing appropriate business intelligence, a background in forecasting, proficiency in MS Office and excellent oral/written communication, negotiating and overall project management skills are necessary. Must also have the ability to travel approximately 35%. Food industry experience is preferred.
