Trinity Academy of Irish Dance, the most widely recognized Irish dance program in the world with an unprecedented 24 world titles, seeks a candidate for their not-for-profit support group, Trinity Booster Club. Established over 20 years, this Lakeview-headquartered (Chicago) organization offers students a program founded on a unique philosophy of instruction: empowerment within a fun environment. We are also the world?s largest Irish dance school with over 1000 dancers in 17 locations throughout Illinois & Wisconsin.
SALARY: Full-time, salaried with benefits. Compensation and benefit details are available upon request.
REPORTS TO: Dual Reporting Relationship with Booster Club President & Founder/Creative Director
GENERAL SUMMARY
The Managing Director is accountable for managing all aspects of the Trinity Booster Club. Specific focus is on effective communication to Trinity families regarding school scheduling and activities; development and over sight of location councils that educate families and build a support base for students and parents; financial accountability for budget development, budget over sight, fee structures, fund raising and long term planning of Booster Club activities. The key to success is the ability to establish a cohesive unit of volunteer support, paid office staff and Trinity Academy Teachers that work in unison to support the vision of the owner as well as support the needs of the students and families of the Trinity Academy of Irish Dance.
JOB FUNCTIONS
(Ranked Highest to Lowest Importance with percentage of time)
1. Accountable for the financial stability of the Booster Club including the development of Booster Club annual budgets as well as the management and over sight of revenue and expenses to insure budgets are achieved. This includes negotiating contracts for services, goods and facilities. 20%
2. Manage the fund raising system maximizing the benefit / return to Trinity families and the Booster Club. Insure the 501(c) 3 status of the organization by keeping accurate financial records and filing of all required state and federal documents. 10%
3. Develop strategy and oversee all communication to Trinity families insuring a timely, consistent flow of information that helps families understand the benefits that differentiate the Trinity Academy from other dance schools. Communication should also be informative and helpful to families in understanding school schedules and up coming events. 20%
4. Create an office environment that is enjoyable, collaborative & cooperative regardless if an employee is paid by the Trinity Academy or by the Booster Club. 10%
5. Oversee location councils at all Trinity locations with the goal of building school sprit and support systems for families and dancers. Councils should make use of volunteers that are kept informed of Trinity events, policies and activities so families can help other families maximize their Trinity experience. 15%
6. Responsible for developing good relationships with current students and families. Utilize customer input in developing and refining policies and programs by utilizing taskforces comprised of office staff, customers, teachers and board members. 10%
7. Develop procedures that clearly outline Trinity standards and requirements so that volunteers understand their scope of authority and responsibility. Objective is to maximize the use of the organizations volunteer base while insuring Trinity Booster Club sponsored events reflect the highest degree of professionalism. 10%
8. Continue to refine and maintain databases that allow easy effective access to all of Trinity?s customers and business records. 5%
9. Performs other miscellaneous duties as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
? The Director manages an office staff of 6 people and directs a much larger staff of volunteers
OTHER LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITY
? The Director is the leader, the focal point of the organization as it comes to all administrative details. The Director leads taskforces made up of customers, office staff, teachers and board members to gain input and drive change that increase the effectiveness of the organization
? The Director must have strong influencing skills since the volunteer base, by definition, does not work directly for the Booster Club.
FISCAL ACCOUNTABILITY

EDUCATION AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
? Bachelor degree required
? Ten plus years of management experience with P&L or cost center management
? Experience managing a volunteer organization or significant cross functional experience within an organization preferred
