Market Development Manager –New Markets

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

1. Conducts, directs, and analyzes market research.  Includes both primary and secondary market research. Frequent interaction with customers and/or potential customers.  Development of strong working relationship with Roger?s library staff.  Emphasis on accurate evaluation of market information and the development of appropriate marketing strategy.

 

2. Develops and executes worldwide market development plans consistent with Rogers strategic growth plans.  Responsible for establishing criteria for market research and evaluation, and the execution of both. 

 

3. New market development.  Responsible for divisional new product design, development, and market introduction through Rogers Corporate and Divisional CPD processes.  Responsible for providing direction for product extensions.  Oversees & provides guidelines for content of product offerings.

 

4. Competitive Intelligence.  Collection and assessment of competitive information and market trends.  Identifies and assesses new competitors in current or in new market areas.  Shares these communications with others as appropriate.

 

5. International marketing support.  Coordinates efforts amongst Rogers International business units to facilitate worldwide market development focus.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

BS Engineering/Science or BS Business/Marketing, + 5 years industrial product marketing (or combination of product marketing and technical sales experience), + 1 year experience in project leadership.  Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

MBA/Marketing concentration, + experience with similar product/market segment or industry, + actual supervisory experience, + international experience.
