Marketing Analyst

Transecurity, LLC is seeking an entrepreneurial Marketing Analyst to participate in a new product and service commercialization initiative.  This position is focused on conducting all aspects of marketing analysis and implementation during the launch of a high tech, transportation safety-related product and service suite. Typical tasks include strategic market analysis, marketing and sales strategy development, and implementation of tactical marketing activities and plans. This is an exciting opportunity to participate in the initial development of an emerging product line / brand concept. Transecurity is a funded start-up company focused on commercializing technologies developed by the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute. The Marketing Analyst:Prepares marketing strategies and programs for a product and service suite. Prepares product positioning plan including pricing models, distribution methods, and sales strategies Creates, updates and maintains sales/marketing collateral, including brochures, newsletters, flyers, letters, trade show materials, and presentations. Performs competitive analysis and maintain awareness of competitors and market trends Participates in the generation of product requirements and brand definition Participates in all marketing aspects of a product / service development during product launch process

 

Abilities:Entrepreneurial spirit, self motivated, energetic, and pays attention to detail BA degree in marketing or business administration; or 1-4 years related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education / experienceStrong analytical skills and ability to conduct both strategic and tactical marketing activities (relevant experience is highly desirable) Understanding of contemporary requirements analysis and specification including ability to interview individuals and groups about their needs Ability to work in a fast paced, team oriented environment under stressful and rapidly changing conditions A high degree of creativity and autonomy are expected
