Marketing Associate-Planning and Forecasting

The primary responsibilities of this position are to coordinate the tracking and reporting of actual marketing expenses vs. plan, process marketing related invoices and support marketing forecasting. This position will provide a supporting role working closely with the AVP, Planning and Forecasting to help support marketing senior management, marketing channel managers, and marketing cost center managers requirements for expense management, reporting and sales forecasting.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

? Keeps senior marketing management well informed on key issues related to expense management including new reporting requirements, changes in procedures, or problem areas.

? Documents procedures and key decisions related to expense management. Obtains the proper sign-offs on procedures from Marketing and Finance areas.

? Coordinates the personalization of the marketing expense budget.

? Assists with the monthly budget reconciliation process, including determination of accruals and preparation of the monthly budget status report.

? Manages invoice processing and tracking for the Marketing area.

? Provides Marketing management with expense forecasting and estimates as requested.

? Assists with the preparation of the annual marketing plan.

? Assists with the sales forecasting process as requested.

? Assists with production volume forecasting for administrative functions as requested.

? Assists with the development of reports and presentations as requested.

 

What it takes to Succeed:

? Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.

? 3+ years experience in cost accounting or management accounting field.

? Experience interacting with a Marketing function strongly preferred.

? Detail oriented, with strong quality control skills.

? Must have strong communication skills, especially written communication.

? Must be well organized and a self-starter.

? Must have the ability to consistently meet hard deadlines.

? Must have the ability to create and manage processes for expense reporting within Marketing that minimizes impact and time commitment from marketing cost center managers, while meeting Finance requirements.

? Must have demonstrated analytical abilities, independence and flexibility in multi-tasking.

? Strong PC skills including MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint.

? SAP and experience with database query tools highly desirable.
