Marketing Brand Manager - Leading CPG Company
Basic Research, recipient of the 2006 Work/Life Award from the Utah Department of Workforce Services, is looking for talented marketing professionals to join our team at our Salt Lake City headquarters in the role of Brand Manager.
Among the many important job duties of this position, a Brand Manager will:
?Be an advocate and ?Keeper? of the family of brands for which he/she has taken responsibility;
?Define short- and long-term strategies, including product life-cycle management, brand extension projects, creative design, P&L objectives, etc;
?Drive brand growth and profitability through the creation of effective marketing strategies and programs;
?Oversee and manage the effective creation of all marketing collateral that establishes the brand recognition in the marketplace;
?Define advertising and promotion objectives, coordinate with media management on all media-related efforts, including PR, to achieve those objectives, and ensure that all consumer-facing promotions consistently project the appropriate brand identity and strategy;
?Develop PowerPoint presentations that clearly show the vision of the brand and then present to senior management;
?Identify industry trends, competitor activities and consumer needs ? utilize syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI) and internal analytical resources to identify opportunities within the market;
?Collaborate with R&D to create new products or variations on existing products to exploit opportunities identified by analytical research;
?Coordinate efforts with the brand team that carry out specific functions related to production, sales, PR, advertising, promotion, R&D, marketing research, purchasing, distribution, package development, and finance;
?Take full ownership of all brand-related initiatives and drive the direction of the brand with the intent of taking full advantage of all opportunities that may present themselves;
?Collaborate with sales to identify opportunities in various distribution channels and to craft the appropriate message to generate sales;
?Analyze brand market position and create strategies to increase market share.
Qualified candidates will:
? Possess a minimum of 5 years of previous brand and/or product manager experience;
? Have a Bachelors degree or additional equivalent experience beyond the 5 year minimum;
? Be creative, organized, self-motivated, willing and able to work as part of a team or individually as required, open to feedback, willing to adapt in a fluid and changing environment, able to express thoughts/ideas clearly and convert them to action, and act in a collaborative and positive manner at all times;
? Possess superior written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation skills.
