BDMetrics builds the event portals for the largest trade shows in the US and Europe, including the National Restaurant Show, the Consumer Electronics Show, and the CTIA Wireless Show.  These portals provide all participants in the show a search-based window into an events content - people, exhibitors, products, and sessions - for research, networking, and discovery.  These tools make the event more valuable and efficient to attendees, and enable exhibitors to target their best leads.

 



The marketing manager will be responsible for  launching BDMetrics as a market-leading pioneer of on-demand web portals for the event industry. Other strategic responsibilities include measurably raising awareness and understanding of BDMetrics web portals among potential users, and helping drive sales of BDMetrics's for-fee online media products via effective sales tools.  The job will  provide  the right candidate the power to  broaden the media channels of the BDMetrics marketing mix, build a large loyal user-base  and customer base, and drive partner marketing programs in multiple vertical industries.

Requirements and job description:

 

Copywriting and Email Marketing

 

Persuasive writing that motivates the buying decision. Engaging, concise copy that delivers urgent and compelling call to act and to buy. Candidate will excel at web copy, brochure copy, advertising copy, email marketing copy, and PR/ news copy. Agile thinker who understands topics quickly, collaborates with and solicits input from other team members, positions products well, makes complex technology simple to understand, writes strongly on deadline, writes concisely, simply, brightly.

 

Public Relations

 

Experience successfully creating and managing successful PR relations programs. Proven ability to generate a high-yield prominent article placements including product launch articles, user success stories, research-driven thought leadership pieces, and overall mentions in relevant industry articles. Proven ability to generate favorable research notes. Experience creating targeted and successful PR plans.

 

Webpage And Print Collateral Conceptualization

 

Experience conceptualizing effective, great-looking collateral pieces and leading graphic designers and web designers to produce and deliver these pieces as finished products on budget and on deadline. Web page development, brochure production, datasheet production will all be required.

 

Advertising / Media Buying

 

Experience managing both the creative development and media buying elements of a successful, high-lead-yield advertising program. Experience with both online (banner ads and sponsored search) and print media buying and creative development. 

 

E-mail Marketing and Database Marketing

 

Experience managing high-response e-mail marketing programs to user and customer audiences. E-mail marketing copy is an important component of success. Candidate will have proven experience writing successful measurable e-mail marketing campaigns for an Internet software company. Experience segmenting databases of prospective customers/users for optimal targeting of marketing messages.

 

OEM/Partner Marketing Program Development

 

Proven ability to conceptualize, launch successful partner marketing programs, preferrably in an OEM marketing environment.

 

Experience With An On-Demand (Internet-Based) Software Company
