Qdoba Mexican Grill: Internship Position Description

SUMMARY: 

Responsible for building sales and brand awareness by coordinating special events and directing local store marketing activities in the Madison, WI area. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

General

o  Works with designated restaurants to keep track of all coupons that go out in their area, tracks coupons and enters them into a database in order to assess promotional value.

o  Monitors internal marketing materials to make sure they are up to date.

o  Works with restaurant managers to increase awareness and sales of Q-to-Go catering.

o  Responsible for communicating special event activities and local store marketing programs to all involved to ensure effective implementation. This includes communicating with internal marketing personnel, restaurant managers, employees and promotional partners.

o  Assist the marketing director or marketing manager with special requests or projects as needed.

o  Analyzes and evaluates results of marketing activities and promotions.



 

 

Special Events

o  Responsible for coordinating special events for select Qdoba Mexican Grill restaurants in Madison.

o  Analyze and select special events in which to participate in designated territory.

o Work with other local businesses on coordinating cross-promotions.

o Work with operations to coordinate staffing for special events.

o Coordinates with operations for food supply at events. Local Store Marketing

o Acts as primary contact for all local store marketing requests in designated territory.

o Work with store to increase trial and awareness of Qdoba Mexican Grill by doing business to business marketing and talking to people in the community about Qdoba at different events such as Chamber meetings etc.

 

 

EDUCATION:

o College junior or senior working on a degree in marketing, business or advertising.

 

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

o  Solid command of English language and strong verbal and written communication skills.

o  Ability to handle and complete multiple tasks

o  Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet

o  Demonstrable interpersonal skills

 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

o  May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.

 

 

WORK CONDITIONS:

o Must be able and willing to work some weekends and occasional holidays

o Must have access to adequate transportation
