Marketing Intern (part-time)

Leading niche engineering services company is seeking a temporary part-time Marketing Intern to work 20 hours a week. 

 

JOB FUNCTION

This position will be involved in most aspects of marketing communications and will interact with product marketing managers, sales, and business leaders. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

? Respond to and coordinate fulfillment of internal request for marketing literature and promotional items

? Maintain promotional items and inventory of collaterals

? Assist the Marketing Communications Manager with the implementation of marketing projects/programs, including:

o  Design, print production, and distribution of marketing collateral

o  Layout and proofreading copy of client newsletters

o  Coordination of trade shows and conferences

? Work on special marketing initiatives as required.

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Required:  High School Diploma

Desired: Associate degree in marketing or advertising.  Current junior or senior year student pursuing a Bachleor's degree in marketing or advertising. 

 

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Required:  0-1 year in Marketing/Advertising

Desired:  Experience marketing services to industrial markets

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Required:  Excellent computer skills, including MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and the Internet. 

Desired:  Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and PageMaker for PC.

 

NON-TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Required: Good organizational, spelling/grammar, and communications skills.  Strong attention to details.  Ability to be flexible and work both independently and within a team environment.
