Position: Marketing Manager - Advanced Video Services


 

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

To manage the Division?s video (cable TV) product.  The successful candidate will have experience managing video services or will have an aptitude to learn quickly and adapt to a dynamic environment.  In addition to tactical product management, the candidate will make recommendations and create & execute comprehensive plans that will drive acquisition of the right customers.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

1.  Manage the video product offering.

 

2.  Interface with Engineering, Operations, Customer Care, Finance, and other functional groups to ensure broad awareness of activities.

 

3.  Develop product roadmaps and create a plan for meeting strategic objectives.

 

4.  Manage the creation/development/implementation of new product features

 

5.  Review programmer offerings and make recommendations to Management regarding changes to product offering.

 

6.  Study competitor offerings to ensure Time Warner Cable offers the best value for video services.

 

7.  Performs other duties as assigned.

 

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

 

Degree from an accredited  4-year college institution in the discipline of Marketing, Communications, Business Management or 10 years of equivalent experience in managing a video product.

 

SPECIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

1.  Ability to identify, summarize, and report critical data.

2.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

3.  Negotiation skills.

4.  Excellent data organization skills.

5.  Excellent Microsoft Office skills.

6.  Ability to organize, prioritize and perform assigned duties with no supervision.

7.  Ability to use standard office equipment, including computers, fax machines, copiers, etc.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

 

MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT USED:

1.  Personal computer and printer

2.  Calculator

3.  Copy machine

4.  Fax machine

5.  Various office computer supplies: floppy disks, computers, papers, ribbon, etc.

 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF JOB:

1.  Sitting for long periods of time.

2.  Typing and reading on a computer.

3.  Communicating in person, via telephone and through correspondence.
