Marketing Manager - Co Brand

General Statement of Duties: Coordinates with internal Alliance Data teams to develop and implement value added programs to meet the needs of the client and the product profitability for Alliance Data. Programs include account acquisition, activation, retention and loyalty/rewards. Provide strategic expertise to Client Sales teams and client executives in all aspects of bankcard/co-brand marketing and direct mail. Potentially manages internal co-brand marketing team members providing direction, coaching and development opportunities.

Supervision Received: Reports to Director or above.

Supervision Exercised: May have between 1-3 direct reports.

Leadership ' Demonstrate leadership by training peers and/or direct reports and being viewed as a knowledge resource.
Project Management ' Ensure that technical and marketing projects supporting client initiatives are executed and implemented successfully.
Point of Contact ' Act as primary tactical and strategic relationship manager between assigned co-brand/bankcard clients and Product Development.
Problem Resolution ' Review and evaluate problems with a strategic perspective, ensuring problems are resolved in a timely fashion and all deliverables are met. Where appropriate, take the lead in resolving escalated issues.
Issue / Task Management ' Communicate task updates and issues/resolutions and exercise appropriate escalation of issues.
Strategic/Marketing Planning ' Establish budgets, new account acquisition goals and market share goals to increase the profitability of Alliance Data and the client's co-brand/bankcard program. Conduct strategic marketing plans to ensure goals are met.
Marketing Programs ' Oversee the creation, execution, analysis and tracking of marketing programs, and adjust strategy and tactics to increase effectiveness.
Reporting ' Understand and utilize reporting and key measures to identify opportunities for further client growth.
Presentations ' Provide a framework for and effectively deliver internal and external presentations.
Meetings ' Provide strategic direction for internal Alliance Data meetings to discuss marketing plans, resolve open issues and provide progress updates. Assist Client Sales teams with setting direction for client meetings focused on co-brand/bankcard.
New Client Additions ' Participate in the addition of any new co-brand/bankcard clients (conversion or start-up) including (but not limited to): contract review; development of credit collateral; acquisition, activation and reward strategy development; reissues; change in terms notifications; establishing goals and training. Assist in the sales process as requested.
Committees- Participation in Alliance committees on an as-needed basis, serving as liaison/representative to department, i.e., Strategic Account Management

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

' Knowledge of multi product marketing concepts and principles Knowledge of CRM marketing concepts and principles (segmentation, offer strategies, testing strategy, seasonal planning, Email, multi-channel marketing concepts).
' Superior verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate / interact with management and executives.
' Proven ability to build and manage internal and external relationships.
' Proficient in PC skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
' Able to accomplish responsibilities with a high degree of independence, consistency, and accuracy.
' Ability to determine priorities and meet critical deadlines.
' Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment and draw valid conclusions.
' Aptitude for detail.
' Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
' Strong financial and quantitative skills (i.e. Profit calculations, ROI). Strong analytical skills and familiarity with business analysis. Knowledge of statistical methods and advanced statistical concepts a plus.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business or equivalent related experience
Experience:
5-10 years experience in Sales, Marketing, or strong related credit experience
Previous supervisory experience
Desirable:
Detailed understanding of credit related systems
Bankcard marketing planning and program management
