We are currently seeking a Marketing Manager I:

 

Seeking a respected Marketing thought leader who can leverage global marketing experience to bring new and innovative concepts, plans, and tactics to UL venture businesses. Initial focus will be on Medical and QRS businesses with support and integration responsibilities for Water and EMC as well as Core UL.

Responsible for:

? Own the global marketing function for venture businesses including development of global strategic marketing plans, managing the execution of plans and measuring the impact/results of the plan/execution.

? Work with Venture Global and Regional GMs as well as Corporate Marketing and partner with Commercial Marketing personnel to provide coordinated marketing efforts, leveraging synergies between businesses, maximizing global activities/needs and driving economies of scale into marketing

? Provide marketing leadership for development and deployment of new businesses and service offerings including recommendations on high priority market segments, pricing, and offering differentiation

? Conduct market research using various tools (e.g., WIN MDR, One Source, Dun Bradstreet) through a variety of techniques (e.g., phone, mail, internet, visits).

? Partnering with UL?s Competitive Intelligence Team

Requirements:

? Experience with the following:

- developing and managing execution of marketing plans or global services businesses

- market segmentation, customer value definition, promotions and pricing definition

- implementing and managing a competitive intelligence program

- planning and executing market research including survey techniques

- launching new service offerings

? Ability to define and lead marketing campaigns including:

- Print campaigns

- Web-marketing

- Development of positioning papers

- Speaking engagements

- Mailings and other communication channels

- Tradeshows

- Special support for initiatives

- Critical customer visits

? Experience establishing marketing goals, measuring and reporting on results achieved and adjusting plans as needed to achieve goals

? Management/supervisory experience

? Ability to work with minimal direct supervision

? Poise, polished public speaker, good communication skills, and global representative "face" of the CDO Venture businesses and UL

? Service Industry experience a plus, but not necessary. Experience with the following industries a plus but not necessary:

- Medical

- Quality Registration

- Water Safety

- Electromagnetic Compatibility

- Safety Testing and Certification
