Position: Marketing Manager, National Conferences and Live Webcasts

Location: New York, NY

Position Profile:  CPA2Biz is searching for a Conference and Webcast marketing manager to join its growing product marketing team.  The position reports to the Senior Director of Product Marketing. CPA2Biz develops and executes a comprehensive marketing strategy for AICPA products and services. The successful candidate will develop and execute a diverse marketing strategy for AICPA conferences and webcasts by leveraging all available sales channels including online, email, direct mail, telesales, tradeshows, and advertising.  Primary responsibilities include planning and implementing marketing and promotion plans to meet and exceed product line revenue targets.

 

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

? Plan and implement aggressive online marketing and direct marketing for national conferences and live webcast events.
? Collaborate closely with product development teams in planning marketing and promotion strategies.
? Prepare detailed product marketing/promotion plans for distribution to key business owners.
? Manage promotion campaign strategy and provide copy and creative direction to  creative Agency to ensure effective design and messaging.  Ensure that all marketing communications messaging is effectively and consistently conveyed across multiple communication mediums.
? Prepare Creative Work Plans for promotional campaigns and conduct formal marketing launches with creative Agency.
? Meet key deliverable dates for ensuring on-time direct marketing campaign execution.
? Manage short and long term revenue planning and forecasting.
? Monitor sales performance by preparing monthly product line business results report that tracks month and year-to-date budget vs. actual product performance, explains variances; update year-end forecast based on performance.
? Develop contingency plans as needed to offset sales revenue shortfalls.
? Plan and manage telesales campaigns.
? Maintain and update website content.
? Monitor competition.


Knowledge & Skills:

? Strong organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities on concurrent timelines and meet tight deadlines
? Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
? Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with ability to write, edit and proofread copy
? Excellent analytical skills relating to campaign results analysis and reporting
? A strong background in developing all aspects of direct marketing strategy including segmentation/list selection, positioning, creative direction, measurement, and budget management
? Creative judgment, detailed-oriented, critical thinking
? Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications


Experience/Education:
? 5-7 years relevant online marketing and direct response marketing experience, preferably in a conference or events planning environment
? BA, marketing preferred
? Knowledge of financial and accounting marketplace a plus
