Marketing Manager, Retail (Must Have Experience Marketing To Home Depot)

Develops and establishes strategic marketing plans.  Integrates retail products and/or functional activities to achieve business goals.  Manages and executes new sales and service initiatives for particular market.  Familiar with a variety of the field?s concepts, practices and procedures.  Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.  Performs a variety of tasks.  Leads and directs the work of others.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

- Establish strategic marketing plans to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.

- Develops and executes marketing programs to achieve stated objectives regarding revenue, profitability and market share.

- Plans and oversees execution of promotional activities including print, electronic media, trade shows and direct mail.

- Negotiates contract terms and outside suppliers.

- Is an active participant in New Product Development process.

- Analyzes marketing programs and adjusts strategy and tactics to increase effectiveness.

- Reviews analysis of marketing surveys on current and new product concepts in order to recommend future product development.

- Works closely with sales team to understand specific customer needs.

- Reviews alternate channels of distribution and sales vehicles.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

- Bachelor?s degree and at least 10 years of experience in the field required; MBA preferred.

- At least five years experience in the Home center industry.

- Must exhibit a wide degree of creativity and ability to think and act independently.

- Previous management experience preferred.
