Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center (MMTC) is an independent organization that specializes in providing training and consulting services. Our mission is to assist manufacturers in increasing productivity, quality and customer satisfaction. Much of our work involves small to mid-sized manufacturing clients.

MMTC seeks an experienced Marketing Professional.  This position will be responsible for creating, and implementing the overall Marketing Plan for MMTC.  In addition, this position will also work with external clients in a variety of marketing capacities.  This is a very hands-on position.  This position will play a significant role in the Marketing Department of the MMTC and therefore it is required that any potential candidates be able to demonstrate that he/she is capable and willing to do all levels of marketing required.

JOB SUMMARY:

Plans, organizes, directs, controls, and provides the leadership to achieve the company?s short-range and long-range business development objectives.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.  Marketing and business planning:  Develops marketing plans, business plans,  and action plans for identified targets of opportunity that clearly define objectives, goals, win strategies, schedules, and action assignments.

2.  Sales:  Supports new-business programs.  Provides direction and leadership through marketing to implement sales strategy and tactics.

3.  Organize and maintain marketing efforts and materials to provide a consistent image of the MMTC to customers.

 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

1.  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

2.  Extensive knowledge of advertising, promotions and public relations.

3.  Demonstrated ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.

 

Minimum Education and Experience Required

Bachelor?s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Management or business administration or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Qualifications and Skills DesiredBS or MBA preferred.  Some evening work may be required when in the field.  Must be able to work under pressure of tight project deadlines.
