Marketing Project Specialist

The Marketing Project Specialist is responsible for assisting in managing of online brand strategy/image development and content for corporate brands; writing and editing copy for Web sites; project managing the development of new sites, functions or Web site value-added components as directed; writing and editing copy for marketing materials; executing promotions and projects aimed at enhancing traveler acquisition and retention; supporting the Director in implementing online brand standards, consistency and strategy throughout all online corporate and brand communications; working with the Director of Marketing to align brand strategy between print and online materials; and other duties as assigned by the Senior Director, Marketing & Communications.

 

Essential Functions:

Develops new sites, functions or value added components as directed.

Assists in managing online brand strategy and content for corporate and portal brands.

Acquires content from writers or other news outlets and contacting writers to contribute to Web site(s), as necessary.

Creates/manages client- and traveler-facing marketing material projects as requested. This may include e-mail or direct mail campaigns, Web site promotions, advertisements, brochures or other materials as assigned.

Manages newsletters as needed, provides monthly analysis using Web Trends and other system tracking  measurements, providing guidance on how to improve lead, application and user performance.

The MPS is also responsible for ongoing marketing projects assigned at the discretion of the Senior Director of Marketing & Communications.

Education: Bachelor?s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or Business.

 

Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations or other Communications medium. 

 

Skills, Knowledge and Ability: Must possess strong project management skills and excellent writing and editing skills, knowledge of AP Stylebook.  Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office programs and familiar with Macintosh operating systems.  Must also be knowledgeable of online technical scope documentation, work with vendors and freelance graphic designers on a regular basis. Strong analytical skills and business acumen are all required. Must be customer driven, possess solid business judgment, be deadline-oriented, meet estimated costs/budgets and be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
