Marketing Representative

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for servicing community accounts, meeting ongoing educational needs of key community groups and of existing members. Maintaining contacts with area businesses, civic, to resolve issues on behalf of members, address community and or member concerns.  Generating a positive public image for AGP by participating in networking meetings and by making our services available to key accounts in the community. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with AGP member population for the primary purpose of increasing enrollment and decreasing disenrollment.
2. Make presentations, staff exhibits, and perform other activities directed toward servicing established accounts and providing education.
3. Attend networking meetings to deliver key AGP messages.
4. Identify, locate, and enlist cooperation of individuals, groups, agencies, and organizations in educational activities to increase the level of awareness of plan offerings.
5. Support of health education activities, referral of members to health education programs.
6. Participate in open enrollment meetings, special activities, and respond to inquiries and provide follow-up.
7. Generate and participate in community health events.
8. Support Circle of Life Initiatives.
9. Act as a resource person on behalf of the member as necessary.
10. Identify cultural issues regarding potential and current members and communicate these issues to other plan staff.
11. Manages territory effectively.
12. Tracks and trends membership and market according to department guidelines.
13. Comply with department service standards.
14. Other duties as requested or assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience:
? At least two years of successful experience in outside sales, inside sales or customer service experience in a managed care or health care environment.
? Extensive knowledge of commercial employee benefits is desired.
? College degree (AA/BS/BA) preferred.


Certification and Licensure:

? Must possess a valid driver?s license and have access to a motor vehicle.
? Must possess a valid motor vehicle insurance.

Knowledge and Skills:

? Self-starter, ability to work with limited supervision.
? Medicaid and/or CHIP program knowledge desired.
? Excellent verbal and written communications skills, bilingual a plus (Spanish-English; Vietnamese-English).
? Good organizational skills and strong follow up.
? Appreciation of cultural diversity and sensitivity towards target population.
? Experience working with word, power point and excel.
