Marketing Research Analyst

Responsible for key analytical functions related to the analysis of the overall optical market and sales, new products and technologies. Tracks, analyzes and reports performance versus the market and individual competitors. Designs and executes qualitative marketing research surveys.


Responsibilities:

? Provides marketing research services to requestors, including obtaining market information from vendors and analyzing, interpreting and summarizing data.
? Researches, identifies and monitors on-going market trends. Identifies significant changes/shifts in trends and competitive activity.
? Formally presents information to management, as needed.
? Analyzes and publishes monthly/ongoing reports on market and sales performance.
? Develops various business models and interprets data for business decisions.
? Creates and maintains sophisticated databases on assigned areas.
? Conducts qualitative marketing research surveys. Coordinates and liaises between internal requestors and outside research/ telemarketing agencies.
? Works directly with marketing, sales, supply chain, top management and other personnel as required on assigned areas and projects.
? Generates formally written marketing research reports and presentations.
? Supports International in US analytical requests in assigned areas.
? Conducts projects against assigned deadlines.
? Assists supervisor on other assigned duties, as needed.
? Performs all of the above with a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, detail orientation, thoroughness and accuracy.
? Works with minimal supervision.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Marketing Research, Marketing, Business Administration, Science, Mathematics or related Area. MBA preferred.

2-3 years analytical experience, or MBA with minimum 1year direct marketing research/database experience.

Excellent analytical and organizational skills.

Ability to handle multiple projects against assigned deadlines.

High level of detail orientation and accuracy. Ability to foster high level of confidence and reliability in thought processes and results.

Ability to work with all levels of management.

Excellent written, verbal, presentation and communication skills.

Sophisticated PC skills, including spreadsheet, word processing, presentation, internet and internal software.

Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Strong interpersonal skills and team player.
