Marketing Specialist E-Media & Graphic Design

? The Marketing Specialist (E-Media & Graphic Design) will create promotional materials that increase the presence and brand awareness of Volvo Financial Services in the marketplace. 

 

Marketing Specialist E- Media & Graphic Design

RESPONSIBILITIES

? Coordinate with business areas (Sales, Finance, Operations, etc.) to determine the composition multi-media projects such as videos, CDs, presentations, web design, etc.

? Create design concepts and make recommendations regarding format, art work, photography, paper type, colors, typeface, typesetting specifications, ink selections, size, and finish.

? Create and edit layouts, illustrations, line drawings, sketches, web page designs and other electronic media.  Create headings, graphics and text via computer. 

? Operate video camera and videotape equipment for electronic field production; perform pre- and post-production editing of videotapes; perform related work.

? Perform digital imposition and coordinate production.

? Prepare project cost and production time estimates.

? Research, recommend and incorporate software and hardware that responds to business needs.

 

 

EDUCATION

? BA/BS required.

 

EXPERIENCE

? Five years professional experience and proven track record in e-media production and graphic design.

? Financial services or commercial equipment experience preferred

 

SKILLS

? Demonstrated expertise in electronic media and computer graphic design techniques; graphic-art offset printing standards, techniques, and materials; design and desktop publishing software; typography or printing and bindery processes.

? Excellent conceptualization of ideas and ability to translate into camera-ready copy via computer and traditional methods; creating design proofs and checking blue line and press proofs; advising on publication design, art work, multi-media projects, costs, and completion time.

? Web experience with basic html language and html editor software; and experience with imaging software related to file formats and functions and converting various formats for web use.

? Experience creating and designing art work, line drawings, and digital files via scanners, computers and output devices.

? Experience creating, manipulating and formatting photographic images in digital formats for electronic and/or web-based documents and applications.

? Experience with imaging software related to file formats and functions and converting various formats for web use.

? Strong knowledge of promotion and marketing concepts and graphics design project management.
