Description:
 
The Marketing Web Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Data Recovery and PowerControls marketing team for the US, Canada and Australia. This individual will assist in the project management, execution and return on investment and budget reporting for marketing activity including advertising, promotions, direct marketing and other activities. The duties performed by this individual will support the direct, web, and partner sales channels for Ontrack? Data Recovery & PowerControls(TM) products and services.  It is the responsibility of the Marketing Web Assistant to execute on marketing activity to raise awareness and generate leads to meet company and product goals and objectives through working with various members of the marketing team, domestically and internationally.
 
Responsibilities will include:
 
-Email distribution and campaign reporting.  Assist with all email campaigns and eNewsletters by owning the distribution and reporting process utilizing campaign distribution software, setting up tracking elements to measure results and entering results in marketing performance reports.
 
-Web maintenance.  Ensure the quality of web sites by updating, modifying, enhancing and correcting content on the sites.
 
-Advertising, partner program and marketing performance reporting. Collect and input performance statistics and metrics into report documentation for analysis. 
 
-Project management assistance. Assist others on the marketing team with various marketing tasks as assigned such as product launches, marketing events, advertising programs, etc.
 
-Purchase order entry, purchasing and other budget administrative functions. Enter all marketing buys into purchase order system and record expenses and marketing activity into internal marketing expense reports.
 
-Promotional item management. Manage the ordering of various promotional, requests, fulfillment, distribution and inventory of all branded and logo’d marketing giveaways and items.
 
-Conduct miscellaneous projects as identified or assigned.
 
-Out-of-town travel up to 10% as needed.

Qualifications:
 
-One to two years general marketing experience, advertising, or other related experience
 
-Experience with Internet and/or Web-based technologies
 
-Marketing background required
 
-Knowledge of the Internet and software industries, previous experience in a high tech company preferred
 
-Experience providing Web support and design utilizing HTML, or equivalent combination of education and experience
 
-Web site development capabilities and experience with Web-based products and content is a plus
 
-Experience working in a high tech organization (services, software, hardware) preferred
 
-Strong business communication and writing skills
 
-Solid project management skills
 
-Working understanding of Web marketing, including email campaigns, banner ads, direct mail, etc.
 
-Must be comfortable working in an internationally focused team environment
 
-Ability to organize and prioritize workload, meet deadlines and manage time efficiently.
 
-Ability to effectively use a PC, including working knowledge of MS Office Suite, email, Web browsers and MS Project
 
-Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
 
-Ability to handle multiple, diverse tasks simultaneously
 
-Flexible and adaptable in a high-growth, dynamic environment
 
-Will require periodic night and weekend work.
 
 
Education:
 
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university
