Media Buyer - Interactive Agency

Inter@ctivate, Inc. is currently looking for an experienced Media Buyer for its Irvine or San Diego office.

The Media Buyer executes media plans and buying responsibilities on all types of media, as required by the agency?s client needs. They will also be charged with maintaining an in-depth knowledge and insight into all interactive industry developments and innovations. We are looking for someone who understands interactive advertising and has the ability to plan, buy and manage.

Responsibilities:
- Works with client services team to understand the client's business objectives and advertising strategies; identifies ways in which media can help build the client?s business; presents media plans for approval and makes adjustments as necessary.
- Conducts media research and analysis to determine target audiences, demographics, psychographics, behavior and media habits.
- Develops buying strategies and creates media estimates and projections to maximize media dollars including negotiations for added value.
- Negotiates and purchases TV, radio, newspapers, outdoor, magazine, interactive and nontraditional media space.
- Builds and maintains relationships with media vendors; evaluates and negotiates sponsorships
- Evaluates editorial content, ratings, and audience composition of a wide range of media vehicles to determine which would most effectively reach target audience.
- Post-analyzes every buy to original audience estimates and negotiate any additional bonus spots necessary to achieve goals.

Requirements for this position include:
- Bachelor?s degree in marketing, business, technology or similar related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 2 years media buying experience required with an additional year of online media buying preferred; must have a solid understanding of media buying and planning as it relates to online marketing, refined presentation skills, expert negotiating skills, experience in paid search and pay per click campaigns, and a working knowledge of interactive media in a marketing or advertising field.
- Knowledge of internet business and media pricing models with media sales and/or agency media buying experience on a CPM, CPA, CPC; experience and knowledge of standard media terminologies and metrics; knowledge of the changing evolution of media pricing metrics with regard to the Internet.
- Client services experience with ability to utilize appropriate internal resources to meet or exceed client goals and optimize campaigns.
- Project management experience including analysis, planning, delivery and consultation.
- Previous agency experience and a familiarity working with homebuilding, produce industry or other Inter@ctivate client industry a plus.
- Detail-oriented, organized and excellent written/verbal communication skills.
- Professional demeanor and the ability to build and maintain supportive relationships.
