Media Planner and Buyer

BEI (B.E. International) is looking for dedicated, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented Media Planners / Buyers to join our expanding team.  The right candidates will have some experience with international media or the desire and dedication necessary to learn how to apply their US media skills to the growing global media market.  Work with a dynamic team on challenging client projects.

 

Position(s) available in Danbury CT and New York City office location(s). 

 

Job Duties to include:

 

* Track international and domestic media markets by identifying, researching, and evaluating market trends; media supply availability, new market opportunities, and competitive activity. 

 

* Create media plans by evaluating client requirements; preparing specifications, advertisements, and publication schedules.

* Negotiate media contracts by determining media availability; placing, explaining, and confirming media specifications; developing price and service calculations; exploring alternatives; obtaining agreement and signatures.

* Expedites media plans by forwarding requirements; monitoring schedules; proofing content and graphics; verifying placements; resolving problems.

 

* Evaluates media by collecting and analyzing marketing results.

* Meets financial requirements by preparing estimates; monitoring expenditures; reconciling accounts; analyzing variances; developing alternative methods.

* Updates job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging practices and standards; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

* Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

 

Skills/Qualifications:

 

Preferred: min. 2 to 3 yrs experience, Team oriented individual, Advertising Planner with experience in above duties, Excellent Verbal and Written Communication, Capable of Building new and maintaining current media/client relationships, International Market Knowledge a plus.

Computer skills - MS Office XP, Internet savvy, Computer savvy, PDF, Email 

Languages - Fluent in English, written and oral required.

*Spanish, French, Chinese, German a big plus but not required.

*Possibility of travel.
