Position Summary:

The Media Supervisor reports directly to an Associate Media Director, Group Director or Managing Partner, and may supervise a number of Senior and Junior Media Planners on 2 major accounts. This individual will coordinate weekly results analyses and presentations to Clients and work with other MEC offices on Clients business. The Supervisor will also direct the day-to-day media activity for assigned accounts/clients, and is responsible for developing media strategy and overseeing the translation of client marketing and advertising objectives into media strategies. The Supervisor should seek additional project responsibility to expand his/her knowledge base and experience.

 

Responsibilities include:Developing clear and effective marketing objectives and strategies for assigned clients/accountsDeveloping planning timeline and outlining key initiativesUtilizing appropriate media for Client objectivesKeeping track of how media are responding to Agency requestsGenerating innovative and creative solutions to problems/situations Setting schedules for task completion by Sr. Media PlannersKeeping abreast of project progress both internally and with clientsCommunicating project status effectively and timely to Director and clientsCan readily provide guidance on handling any vendor/media problemsWorking knowledge of Donovan Data SystemsIdentifying strengths and weaknesses of Sr. Media Planners and providing direction for developmental success, and to benefit MEC's media productMaintaining strong working relationships with both internal and external contacts

Requirements:3-5 years of Media planning experience ( Direct or Traditional)Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills1+ years experience supervising junior staff with proven leadership ability with strong client relationship skillsExcellent computer skills required.
