Position Summary:

The Media Supervisor reports directly to an Associate Media Director, Group Director or Managing Partner, and may supervise a number of Sr. Media Planners. This individual directs the day-to-day media activity for assigned accounts/clients, and is responsible for developing media strategy and overseeing the translation of client marketing and advertising objectives into media strategies.

 

Responsibilities include:Developing clear and effective marketing objectives and strategies for assigned clients/accounts Developing planning timeline and outlining key initiatives Utilizing appropriate media for Client objectivesKeeping track of how media are responding to Agency requestsGenerating innovative and creative solutions to problems/situations Setting schedules for task completion by Sr. Media PlannersKeeping abreast of project progress both internally and with ClientCommunicating project status effectively and timely to Director and clientsCan readily provide guidance on handling any vendor/media problemsWorking knowledge of Donovan Data SystemsIdentifying strengths and weaknesses of Sr. Media Planners and providing direction for developmental success, and to benefit MEC's media productMaintaining strong working relationships with both internal and external contacts

Position Requirements:5+ years DR/email experience with a seasoned knowledge of all media disciplines.  Experience managing medium to large size budgets.Significant amount of client contact experience.Must possess excellent leadership, management, analytical, multi- tasking, and decision making abilities.Experience in building and managing teams.Excellent communication skills.Technological background is preferred.Ability to manage multiple programs at different stages of planning. Entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for media.
