Responsible for the development of all marketing and communication materials. Oversees communication specialists, graphic designers and web development specialists in the writing, editing, proofreading, design and in some instance, reading level adjustment of materials for members, prospective members, network providers and internal associates. Defines and establishes appropriate communication strategies and timelines to support corporate and operational initiatives, cooperating with other project teams and departments as necessary. Work cooperatively with marketing planning and print production and fulfillment teams to meet defined communication goals and production deadlines, uphold corporate branding standards and hire, train, coach, counsel and evaluate performance of direct reports. Performs other duties as assigned.



BA/BS in communications or marketing and 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in the communications or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Health/managed care industry experience preferred. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills required. Excellent strategic thinking abilities. Excellent analytical abilities, PC capabilities, and managerial skills required. Strong creative writing and editing skills required. Ability to plan, initiate and coordinate communications plans to contribute to company profitability required.
