MOTORCYCLE MARKETING ASSISTANT DIVISION MANAGER

FUNCTIONS: 

 

Manage the development and implementation of all detailed long range market planning activities, specific strategic retail strategies, and marketing plans for all motorcycle product lines, including the Star Motorcycles brand, and the Sport, Competition, Off-Road,  and scooter categories.

 

DUTIES: 

 

Establish, develop, implement, and measure the strategies and actions to ensure successful achievement of annual retail targets of the Yamaha and Star brand Motorcycle product lines concurrent with the established long term goals of the company.

 

Develop and cultivate detailed long term market forecasting initiatives to maximize retail efficiencies throughout each motorcycle product category.

 

Prepare and make strategic recommendations for sales promotion budget development and overall management thereof on a yearly basis.

 

Evaluate and assist motorcycle product planning department?s initiatives for research of consumer insights and manage information as further guidance for overall marketing and advertising direction.

 

Provide clear and specific brand and product positioning direction to the communications department and manage integration of marketing material cross functionally and globally as necessary.

 

Evaluate specific media, sponsorship, product placement, and promotional opportunities concurrent with the communications department. Provide oversight and direction cross functionality to maintain brand image and consistency.

 

 

SPECIFICATIONS:

 

Five plus years Marketing experience and a passion for Motorsports and related products.  Minimum of an undergraduate degree in Business/Marketing and or Journalism.  Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office and PowerPoint.
