Multimedia/Web Graphic Designer

Interactivate, in downtown San Diego, is Southern California?s largest and most successful interactive marketing agency. We are expanding and looking for a detail-oriented, self-motivated, talented Multimedia/Web Graphic Designer, who thinks strategically, is pro-active and ready to join our award winning design team. Requirements:
* 4+ years working experience in designing (not programming) web sites and interactive rich media. This is not an entry level position.
* BA in graphic arts or fine arts or interactive media or equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Online portfolio a must.
* Outstanding creativity in layout & design.
* Strong color theory and typographical skills.
* Must be up to speed and be prepared to do all work on a MAC. PC knowledge a plus.
* Advance technical skills with Adobe and Macromedia products. This includes Flash animations done in timeline. Action script knowledge a plus.
* A working knowledge of video/sound used on the web.
* Must display attention to detail, be able to organize time effectively and work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment.
* Be a team player with excellent interpersonal and concepting skills plus a willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to get the job done.


Responsibilities
Includes concept development, comp presentations, project design/build out for web sites, banner advertising, rich media content, email marketing, video, sound, production work and more. Ability to work well, in a team environment, with tight deadlines, under pressure and handle multiple projects at once is required. No web programming required but must have a full understanding of functionality and user interactivity. (Sorry but predominately ?print? designers need not apply.)
