The Senior Meeting Planning Manager has overall accountability for the management of logistics and operations of meetings, including but not limited to site selection, negotiations, registration/housing, menu planning, room sets, audio-visual, transportation, on-site management, completion of CPE rosters, completion of attendance rosters for internal processing and record keeping, budget development and adherence, final bill reconciliation, and meeting closeout procedures. Conducts site searches for client events at external facilities. Creates the reports with applicable costs for internal contacts and provide recommendations on the best facility and location.  Manage the logistical planning needs and create an implementation plan to include: room set ups, food and beverage arrangements, technology requirements, registration needs, travel requirements, special activities, and off-site events.Negotiate contract terms and pricing on functions planned in the respective area and executes contracts with company contract addendums.  Obtain necessary deposits and reconcile credit card statements with appropriate documentation.Exhibit fiscal management by creating and analyzing pre and post budgets for every event, tracking budget variances, managing room blacks and attrition, and re-booking canceled space, if possible. Manage the registration process for events overseeing the workflow and registration tasks of the planner assigned to the meeting.  Develop and maintain client relationship by gaining an understanding of the overall practice, product/services and goals.Produce a high level of customer service by being responsive and proactive to the client?s needs. Maintain industry relationships and knowledge with hotel representatives, participates in industry training, and staying current with industry Web sites and periodicals.Market services by participation in live business development presentations as necessary and as part of the team presentation.Directs and oversees the wok of internal colleagues and external staff.Acts as project manager on an on-going basis.Manages and coaches assigned staff to ensure compliance with Euro and MPC policies and procedures.

Qualifications for the position Bachelor?s degree preferredAccomplished in the field of hospitality At least 5 years of experience as a catering/conference manager in a hotel or meeting facility, or as a meeting planner at a reputable company Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal 2+ years related customer service work Ability of travel (including weekends) and support ?live?/onsite conferences, meetings, and other special events
