Online Media Buyer

Position Overview

The Online Media Buyer will report directly to the Vice President of Customer Acquisition and will have broad responsibility for one or more brands/websites.  This position will be responsible for delivering online media buys to support customer acquisition and transaction goals at allowable costs. The professional we seek must be proactive, with a strong sense of accountability and a day-to-day focus on bottom-line results. This role requires strong negotiating skills with a strategic and analytical approach to monitoring and improving results. Continuously identify and evaluate new opportunities for online advertising growth; interface with IT and creative agency to implement and optimize campaigns. Steward and coordinate campaigns through all phases of launch and maintenance, including negotiations of the media buy, contract review, trafficking, reporting, and analysis and optimization.

 

 

Responsibilities

?  Source, evaluate and execute new online media opportunities.

?  Maintain relationships with online media publishers and partners.

?  Negotiate and review advertising agreements (rates, placements, parameters, etc.).

?  Work with publishers on advertising campaign delivery and performance.

?  Optimize buys, renegotiate rates, cancel or renew as necessary.

?  Develop campaign analysis, optimization processes, and recommend strategic and tactical changes to  maximize campaign performance.

?  Oversee monthly media vendor invoicing and reconciliation.

 

 

Qualifications:

?Significant experience purchasing various types of online media formats such as banners, pops, etc. under CPM, CPC and CPA pricing structures.

?Strong knowledge of online marketing with a minimum of two years experience in online marketing or one year of online media buying.

?Experience in negotiations and contract review.

?Expertise with Microsoft Office programs and strong overall computer skills.

?Experience using media and sales tracking tools (i.e. DART or Atlas).

?Congenial team work attitude.

?Communication skills (verbal and written) to develop relationships with the clients and the media vendors.

?  Bachelor?s degree with strong academic performance ? graduate degree is a plus, but not required

?  Experience in financial services industry is a plus, but not required

?  Experience in early stage, high growth companies is a big plus
