Organization Communications Manager

CITY: Bradenton STATE: Florida COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
* Lead development/ implementation of global employee communications strategy for GE Security, aligning with GE and GE Industrial strategies.
* Member of Leadership team providing counsel and direction for communications initiatives.
* Develop communications plan for CEO. Drive consistent model and expectations for senior staff. Serve as consultant on implementing effective two-way communications, programming and outreach.
* Execute internal communications plans supporting key initiatives/ programs within the business, including quarterly broadcasts, monthly CEO communications, P&L communications plans, growth playbook support, etc.
* Direct P&L communications team driving consistency in planning and messaging tailoring by specific audiences. Ensure messages are driven down into the business using a variety of vehicles to reach all audiences.
* Drive employee feedback mechanisms with HR, including GE Opinion Survey administration, analysis, action planning and communications. Leverage data for communications plan development to address issues and opportunities for improvement. Measure and report progress.
* Manage overall content and news strategy for intranet news and supporting sites keeping information updated on a daily basis.
* Working with communications team, write and produce functional and P&L newsletters.
* Manage plant/local communications plans and programs for significant business actions including acquisitions, integrations and consolidations. Serve as GE spokesperson on employee-related communications activities.
* Serve as GE Security Crisis Communications team member.
* Execute on GE-wide communications programs.
* Drive Community Relations coordination, communication and execution of activities globally, including GE Volunteers' activities and participation as the GE Security representative on the GE Volunteer Advisory Council. Support network groups in promotion of activities.
* Serve on GE Industrial Communications team.

Qualifications/Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business, English, Marketing, or (High school diploma/GED 10 years experience in an organization communication's role).
* minimum of 7 years communications experience with demonstrated experience in executive level support including:
- demonstrated proficiency with verbal and written communications skills
- previous experience interacting with executive leadership and all levels of the organization
- demonstrated proficiency of execution skills consistently meeting deadlines
- demonstrated proficiency of consultation skills: interpersonal and client
- proficiency in e-technology communications solutions
- demonstrated creativity and problem-solving ability
