Job Description:


Account Supervisor



?

Account Supervisors plan and execute client activities in a proactive manner with minimal direction from an Account Manager or higher-level supervisor.? Account Supervisors are expected to be able to independently plan and execute activities in a timely, efficient and high quality manner. Account Supervisors are expected to demonstrate independence and autonomy with respect to their responsibilities and must exhibit a deep understanding of the clients, accounts and industry.? Account Supervisors are expected to have some knowledge of managing the business aspects of the client account on behalf of the agency.? Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing the development and editing high quality written materials including press releases, fact sheets, backgrounders, biographies, tour reports, briefing books, speaking opportunity abstracts, pitch letters, Q & A's, and general client correspondence, being the primary and ongoing contact on the client's behalf to top tier press and analysts, managing press and analyst tours, managing resources and staff while keeping programs on track and ensuring program deadlines are met while handling multiple projects.

Skills required include a strong understanding of the technology industry including the chip sector, networking and the wireless industry. Candidate must have strong written and verbal skills in both informal and formal client and business settings, solid understanding of public relations and marketing principles, strategic planning and implementation, strong client relations skills, knowledge of new business development, critical thinking skills, proven ability to effectively organize and manage resources, demonstrated ability to manage a project and team from start to finish, solid understanding of fiscal account management, demonstrated ability to work well with others in both team and independent environments, ability to manage and motivate junior staff and a positive, flexible attitude that will lend itself to client service.

Minimum of five years of professional experience, with some agency experience, required.? BA degree, preferably in Communications, Journalism, English or PR related discipline.
