PRODUCT MARKETING MANAGERS/STM Publishing

International STM (SCIENTIFIC, TECHNICAL, MEDICAL) Publishing company is seeking? MARKETING/PROMOTION professionals to plan, create and implement promotional activities for books and journals. Areas of expertise; Medicine, Clinical Medicine, Cancer Research, Chemistry/Geo-Sciences, Business/Economics, Physics/Astronomy, and Computer Science.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

prepare annual promotion plan for all products in assigned disciplines.

generate annual promotion budget and exhibit schedules for disciplines.

supervise staff if relevant.

write, edit and proofread all pieces.

prepare and present sales conference materials.

work with exhibit management to maximize sales through exhibits and combined publisher exhibits (e.g. staffing, selection of books and journals displayed).

attend exhibits (approximately 25% travel-domestic and international).

develop mail plan for direct mail campaigns, including timing of mailing and selection and rental of lists.

monitor annual budgets.

interact with and advise Marketing Services, Marketing Communications and In-House Art department regarding quality and accurate production of promotional materials.

REQUIREMENTS:

bachelor's degree with minimum 2-3 solid years EXPERIENCE IN PROMOTIONS or MARKETING.

EXPERIENCE IN?THE PUBLISHING INDUSTRY, PARTICULARLY WITHIN A SCIENTIFIC,TECHNICAL, MEDICAL PUBLISHING COMPANY. (STM)

excellent communication skills required, including strong COPY WRITING, and PROOFREADING skills.

must be well organized, able to set priorities, adhere to strict deadlines, possess excellent follow-up skills.

must have excellent computer skills.
