Part-Time Product Demonstration Communications Associate

At Wakefern Food Corporation, we're setting a new standard for success. We're the nation's largest retailer-owned cooperative, and the wholesale distribution and merchandising arm for ShopRite Supermarkets. We are currently seeking a Part-Time Product Demonstration Communications Associate.

As a Part-Time Product Demonstration Communications Associate in the Product Demonstration Division, you will be responsible for the complete communication package for demonstrators and store personnel. You will interface with vendors, brokers, third party marketing companies, and procurement to obtain all information needed for developing all demonstrator training manuals and store communication.

Key responsibilities include: researching product specs; reviewing all manufacturers? coupons for bar code and disclaimer compliance; reviewing all demo kit contents and usage; developing the demonstrator training manual for each program; communicating each project?s program information; assisting in writing additional policy and procedure documents for Product Demonstrations; and handling daily store/agency/demonstrator calls for special requests. Additional job functions include: setting up new projects; distributing products; creating the product movement report; troubleshooting any calls from stores, demonstrators, owners, or the vendor community; attending bi-weekly supervisor meetings; and maintaining a Perishable Program Calendar, a Coupon Value Log, and a Product Distribution Value Log.

To qualify, you must be working towards a four year College Degree or possess equivalent experience along with a career interest in event planning, communications and/or foods and nutrition. Business experience is preferred and supermarket retail experience at any level is beneficial. Strong organizational, analytical, leadership, customer service, communication, and good business writing skills are required. PC skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Writer are essential. You must have flexibility regarding scheduling that may require evening or weekend coverage. Bilingual Hispanic skills are a plus.
