Cintas is currently looking for a Patternmaker – Existing Product with Vendor Change to facilitate efforts to move existing products to new vendors through the creation of patterns based on current garments and/or specifications.  Responsibilities include creating, grading and implementing patterns for re-sourced garments; preparing and conducting fit sessions and compiling reports; traveling to contractors to ensure pattern sewing; and preparing accurate product specifications.


Associate's Degree in Fashion Design, Patternmaking, or Pattern Engineering required
Minimum 5 years of experience in creating first and production patterns required
Advanced proficiency in relevant computers applications/systems including a computerized pattern creation system, a computerized specification system,  Microsoft Word and Excel required; Gerber Accumark Pattern System (Classic or PDS 2000), Gerber PDM (Classic or WEB), Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, PaintPad, MS Access, Microsoft Outlook preferred
Textile and garment construction knowledge required; 5 years experience in the uniform industry or patternmaking field preferred
Ability to make patterns for woven and knit shirts, pants and basic outerwear within a computer system without the aid of a mannequin required
Ability to accurately grade garments without the use of an existing grade rule table required
Ability to make patterns for lab coats, coveralls, chef coats, vests, and scrubs preferred
Ability to speak Spanish is a plus
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time including overnight stays
