Print Production Manager - Direct Marketing

D&R Communications is a healthcare marketing company in central New Jersey specializing in pharmaceutical direct marketing.  (www.DRcommunications.com)

We are seeking an independent thinker who understands and has experience in the following:

 

Department Leadership and Oversight

? Interacts with account teams, creative director, art department, clients, and accounts payable staff to assure graphic projects are on cost, on time and meet campaign objectives.

? Acts as consultant to all agency personnel on ways and ideas to achieve various assignments and goals for the agency and clients.

? Determines the specifications, feasibility, supplier sources, and budget parameters of all graphic production.

? Sees that all jobs are produced to the best possible quality, at the best possible cost, on time, to meet client and publication needs.

? Proofs incoming materials for conformance to specifications and monitors delivery schedules; maintains control of projects.

?Reports on the status of all jobs to the account group and works with the account group and creative team to keep jobs moving.

? Maintains an adequate proofs and collateral file system.

?Adheres to the agency?s operational and financial policies and practices.

? Understands direct mail, especially dimensional vehicles and hand assembly

 

Supplier Relationship Building

? Presents projects to selected suppliers for quotations, and prepares estimates (internal and external).

? Submits purchase order requests with complete specifications and instructions to suppliers;  approves invoices.

? Fosters strong professional relationships with reliable suppliers ? is ethical, fair and firm.

? Is respected by suppliers.

? Seeks to identify new vendors, techniques, and products which may benefit the agency.

? Keeps appropriate persons advised of outside source problems.

? Makes the best buys for clients and agency.
