General Summary:Responsible for management of print production of customer direct mail projects, costs analysis and quality procedures as part of an account management team.Responsible for management of print projects at print partner as it relates to scheduling projects, quality procedures at the facility, communicating to customer any additional charges as it relates to changes at the print facility and reconciliation of vendor invoices and postal documentation.Responsible for project pricing, request for bids to vendors and customer proposals.Negotiates vendor pricing for ongoing projects.Initiates purchase orders for vendors, mailing/shipping, change orders, data/order information, approval forms, postage request and estimates. Reviews and proofreads printing proofs for color and copy; secures customer approval of proofs. Handles customer requests and concerns as it relates to successful completion of projects. Attends press checks and fulfillment process to approve color, accurate press layouts and backups, trimming, folding and personalization and inserting. Maintains inventory and inventory reports for projects.Maintains sample and information files of vendors, projects, paper.  Completes invoicing of printing projects to insure reconciliation of charges from vendors and appropriate billing to client.  Reconciles mailings with appropriate postal forms for class of mailing.Communicates directly with customers regarding printing and fulfillment projects.Coordinates successful transition of creative and data to print partner facility.

Responsibilities:Manage customer print projects as part of an account management team for implementation of marketing functionality for print production and trafficking of projects to vendor. Manage schedule for print production with account management team for proper execution of deliverables.Gather specifications for print requirements and submit bids to print vendors, complete price proposals for customer projects and supply to account managers for customers and invoicing.Manage mail drops or bulk shipments and maintain inventories and project files.Manage postal information and accounts.Reconcile costs for profitability and documentation of chargeable changes/additions to projects.Attend press checks as necessary.

Experience Required:5-10 years of experience in managing complex direct mail campaigns in printing production environment or direct mail fulfillment facility a must.Knowledge of Excel, MAC and Microsoft Office and other appropriate office PC programs.Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Email.2-3 Years experience in 4c digital printing preferable but not necessary.Direct mail and marketing collateral print production experience in a printing facility or letter shop mailing facility.Print estimating experience at print facility or in a print broker environment.Understanding of art software, film separations and proofing, 1c to 4c, digital, sheet fed and web printing, letter shop and personalization for mail pieces.Understanding of complex data delivery technology. Ability to adapt to frequent project changes and offer problem-solving solutions to printing problems when they arise. Ability to prioritize tasks and work with multiple projects under tight deadlines. Communicate with internal and external customers regarding all areas of print technology, project specifications and scheduling.
