Working within the Genotyping Product Management group, provide scientific application support for all Genotyping TaqMan SNP Assays. Responsibilities include:
Provide scientific content, and contribute to the creation of effective User Bulletins, Application Notes, Protocols, Technical guides, Frequently Asked Questions, User Guides, and other supporting documentation, including requisite data generation. Analysis of internal and external (customer) assay performance data and Bioinformatics designs, and as necessary provide additional technical consultation to Product Management, Technical Support, and Field Sales. Support custom requests for assay design and ordering tat cannot be managed through standard ordering and design processes. Provide technical training, seminars and presentations to internal and external audiences in support of product sales objectives and technical requirements.
The candidate requires knowledge and skills normally acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology or Biochemistry, or equivalent experience. Requires a minimum of 3-5 years of previous laboratory experience to include expertise in basic techniques related to Genotyping applications. Experience with trouble shooting and applications development/product development is highly desirable.
Experience in presenting technical materials in written and verbal form is critical. Previous experience involving customer interface is desirable. Previous experience with Applied Biosystems products or related instrumentation/reagents is highly desirable
