Product Manager

Position is responsible for effectively managing Merchandising Services programs that ensure Operating Companies growth in the S&E category, which includes product training, product mix analysis, promotional and pricing support, and the development and marketing of new items, programs, and pricing negotiation.

Position scope includes, but is not limited to:
* Analyzing supplier programs, pricing and sales performance.
* Analyzing Operating Companies XX business. Making necessary recommendations to increase incremental sales growth and profitability.
* Assisting in developing new products and programs based on lowest cost.
* Assisting with training and support of department personnel and business development staff.
* Negotiating programs and pricing with suppliers.
* Assisting in the developing of point of sales (POS) materials.
* Resolving problems concerning vendors and Operating Companies.
* Traveling to Operating Companies and assisting where needed.
* Conducting in depth, multi faceted product presentations on XX products.
* Assisting in the timely collection of supplier obligated funds.
* Being an information source for product knowledge, earned income, pricing, market trends and availability.
* Cooperating with Quality Assurance and Accounting personnel, procedures and policies.
* Working with the Commodity Buying and Supplier Adoption Departments.
* Working to develop 4th generation products.

Bachelor's degree (BA) from four-year college or university and/or minimum two years experience as Merchandiser or equivalent Operating Company experience strongly preferred; S&E foodservice experience/background preferred; good communication and presentation skills, telephone etiquette, well-organized and have ability to handle multiple priorities; ability to meet predetermined deadlines; capable of working with little supervision; proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
