Position Summary:
Fisher Biosciences - Pierce Biotechnology - PIBIO-06-089

Pierce, a unit within the Fisher Biosciences group, offers leading research products for use in protein chemistry, sample handling, immunology and chromatography. Pierce is especially strong in the protein chemistry-related field where it enjoys international recognition for its technologies, products and kits used for protein detection and quantitation. Major customers include universities, biotech, pharma, hospitals, clinical labs and government research agencies.

Provide direction and support to sales, research and development, business development, and manufacturing, for revenue generation and operations management in the life science market. Analyze and interpret competitive trends, customer needs and wants, marketplace and technology trends, and manage our responses to each.

Participate in identifying, assessing and/or implementing strategic collaborations, product acquisitions, and/or joint marketing activities to achieve revenue targets and execute marketing strategies. Work with sales management to maximize revenue and execute marketing strategies and ensuring sales teams? needs for sales support material and training are met.

Provide R&D with market-driven input (revenue potential, market characteristics, product definitions) for product development strategies.


Required Skills:
Position Requirements

Education: Bachelors or Masters Degree in Biochemistry or life sciences discipline. Advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Experience: 3-5 years industrial or similar laboratory experience with at least 2 years involving direct customer contact.

Skills: Must have demonstrated influencing and interpersonal skills, specific knowledge of molecular biology, cell biology or protein biochemistry market (products, technology, competitors, customers and techniques), presentation skills, ability to multitask, results orientation and ability to represent the companies commercial interests on project teams.
