Product Manager- Voice

We are currently looking for a Product Manager-Voice to work in our Herndon, VA office.

 

Responsibilities:

Manage telephony services product category at RCN. Scope of product responsibilities includes both circuit switched and VoIP access technologies supporting local, regional, long distance, and calling features. Duties include the following:

 

1) Bringing new voice products to market. Identifies products and services, establishes value within current voice portfolio, works with Sales & Marketing to validate the value proposition, and works with internal stakeholders and external vendors to execute a go-to-market product plan.

 

2) Maintains current voice product portfolio. Ensures product performance meets expectations, manages product life cycle, enhances existing products through new features and add-ons, and identifies opportunities to increase the margin of the portfolio.

 

3) Provides strategic direction and insight for the voice services portfolio. Through research, analysis, and industry/product knowledge, recommends strategic direction for voice services with respect to portfolio life cycle decisions and new product adoption.

 

4) Coordinates activities with internal stakeholders including pricing, video, and internet services groups to identify and execute against product bundling opportunities.

 

Qualifications:

Minimum 4 year college degree required. 5-7 years in a product manager, product research, or product support role required. Telecommunications product experience preferred. Must be proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel. Excellent written and verbal communications skills required.
