Product Marketing Manager, Costpoint/GCS

The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for ensuring the company's global sales readiness for Deltek's flagship Costpoint and CGS Premier software solutions. The Product Marketing Manager will be the sales team's primary source of product knowledge and sales tools and will be a key contributor for delivering the company's value proposition to customers and partners. In addition, the Product Marketing Manager will be an expert in his assigned markets with respect to application needs, competition, market trends and results.

Key Responsibilities include:
* Deliver and maintain positioning & messaging
* Lead product launch process
* Develop sales tools including software demos, webinars, white papers, etc.
* Conduct product capability presentations to key customers and at industry events.
* Research markets in order to provide the company with a detailed need analysis.
* Meet with key customers to review acceptance of the company's products and services.
* Assist product management with product advisory group discussions.
* Represent the company in industry trade associations.
* Perform competitive analysis.
* Provide market performance reports to management.

Minimum 7-10 years experience in the enterprise software industry, with a minimum 5 years of senior leadership in product management and/or product marketing.
* Sales and/or presales experience a plus,
* BS/BA or similar degree is desired in Business, Marketing, Computer Science or related field.
* MBA degree preferred.
* Solid understanding of market research fundamentals.
* Very organized, process oriented, yet flexible.
* Demonstrated ability to translate quantitative analysis into actionable business strategies.
* Excellent presentation skills.
* Must be a self starter that is comfortable working in a start-up paced software company.
