General Description:

The Production Technician is responsible for ensuring timely delivery of Quris products to customers.  This position is responsible to the deployment of Quris email campaigns, in addition to monitoring and troubleshooting the Quris email platform.  Also, the Production Technician is responsible for compiling statistics on the delivery of these products including build time, internal queue time, and overall send times.  They are responsible for the escalation of problems to appropriate personnel for immediate troubleshooting.

Education/Experience:

? 3+ years experience in a technical position.
? 1+ years Unix experience
? Strong Internet experience

 

Responsibilities:

? Monitors systems for overall health, availability and delivery status
? Writes scripts as necessary to facilitate daily operations and statistical analysis
? Produces reports as necessary on overall send times, delivery speeds and problems for the Quris products
? Escalates any problems to appropriate staff
? Occasional after-hours duties
? Other duties as required

 

Required Skills:

? A good understanding of the Unix Operating System (VI)
? Knowledge of Internet e-mail or messaging delivery systems (HTML, XML)
? Ability to write shell scripts (Shell and Perl)
? Ability to identify tasks to automate system monitoring
