Project Manager, Events

Responsibilities

? Create effective and measurable pre- and post-event buzz over a variety of events and projects in various media (street, online, press, etc)

? Lead and develop project planning for events and promotions 

? Manage budgets, production calendars, produce impactful wrap-up reports that measure returns on marketing investment

? Coordinate internal and identify/hire external resources required to ensure accurate completion of all preparation and post event goals and objectives

? Coach junior team members; Learn from colleagues and partners

? Interface with clients to present promotional ideas

? Manage and oversee marketing plan and media buying outlets

? Manage the implementation of marketing and promotions strategies, including but not limited to:

o  Street promotions

o  Event production and sponsorships

o  Collateral development

o  Cross-promotional partnerships

o  Mobile Marketing Tours

 

Requirements:

? Have a proven track record building and managing grass-roots promotions campaigns and events on-time and ability to initiate, execute and complete projects on time and within budget

? Good at getting results out of other people, especially contractors in other cities

? Be action-and-results oriented

? Solid track record in managing development of projects

? Experience in motorsports is a plus

? Understands team dynamics and skilled at building team spirit. Motivates team members to work together to achieve goals.

? Excel in resolving operational problems; identifying work process improvements.

? Ability to remain calm and maintain a professional demeanor is a must

? Experience in supervising and coordinating various contractors including security, operations staff and temporary staff

? Ability to work in tight deadlines, prioritize workload and manage multiple projects simultaneously

? Excellent verbal, communication and overall people skills required

? Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
