Promotions Manager

Summary: Provide strategic direction to promotional and merchandising groups on all Staples Business Delivery (SBD) promo vehicles.
Manage reporting metrics to communicate vehicle performance, including incremental sales and margin.
Utilize product/vehicle analytics to manage sales and margin across vehicles, incorporating individual business objectives into promotional efforts.
Coordinate vehicle turn ins across functional groups to ensure product offers and merchandising direction is effectively presented.
Develop top line space allocations by vehicle based on historical data, strategic business direction, and forecasted industry trends.
Develop annual SBD sales/margin budget and report on results.
Provide managerial direction and guidance to promotional team.
Identify new promotional opportunities and improvements to current vehicles to maximize sales and margin.
Work cross functionally with marketing, account services, replenishment and planning to communicate and implement promotional merchandising strategies.

Requirements:


Bachelor?s Degree required
3 - 5 years experience in merchandising/marketing required
Strong understanding of merchandising, marketing, and product promotions
Demonstrated strategic thinking and creative problem-solving activities
Understanding of merchandising sales and margin objectives
Proven ability to manage and provide leadership to associates and peers
Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong analytical, quantitative and PC skills with experience using Microsoft and Access
